Range Technology RA003B AFM/DFM Disabler-Blue
We ship these out the same day if you place your order before 2pm EST, with two day delivery.
The patented technology is the only product that will disable Active and Dynamic Fuel Management without reprogramming the factory ECU. Full power delivery all the time without factory warranty concerns.
The Range Technology RA003B is an AFM/DFM Disabler (Blue LED version). It is a plug-and-play OBD-II device for select General Motors (GM) vehicles.
It disables Active Fuel Management (AFM) or Dynamic Fuel Management (DFM) so the engine stays in full-cylinder mode (all V6 or V8 cylinders active) all the time. It also typically disables Auto Start/Stop. It does not reprogram the factory ECU, leaves no trace when removed, and is reversible by simply unplugging it.
Key Compatibility Notes
- Fits V6 and V8 GM vehicles equipped with AFM or DFM systems (cars, trucks, and SUVs).
- Does not support 2022.5+ Refresh model trucks or 2021+ SUVs. Those generally require a different product (such as the RA007 or RA010 DFM Module).
- For 2022 trucks: Check the VIN. The 12th digit must be a “4” or lower for early (compatible) models. A “5” or higher indicates a Refresh model that is not compatible.
- The vehicle must have a functioning AFM/DFM system. If AFM components have been deleted, the device may not work as intended.
- Always verify exact fitment for your specific year/make/model/engine (and VIN for borderline years), as lists can vary slightly by source.
Application Summary (Complete List of Supported Models/Years)
This is compiled from manufacturer descriptions and detailed retailer fitment data (e.g., official Range site summaries and retailer application lists). Engines are typically the AFM/DFM-equipped V6 (often 3.6L) or V8 (5.3L, 6.0L, 6.2L, etc.) variants.

Actual Range Tech Customer Reviews:
- I didn't even realize just how rough my 2011 silverado was running, that is until I plugged one of these bad boys in! It instantly ran smooth from the first start. I'm really eager to see if it takes care of the burnt up spark plug issue. I'm hopeful it help control the oil consumption issue as well. One tank in and the milage is about normal usually 18mpg to work and 21mpg on the interstate.
- I have a 2014 Silverado Z-71 and I just installed it and wow! I can definitely feel the difference love this, it’s definitely got more power and the transmission shifts smoother now I highly recommend this.
- This turned my 2017 Silverado into what felt like a sluggish four cylinder car half the time to full power and even noticed smoother shifting of the trans great product
An active fuel management (AFM) disabler is a device that is used to disable the active fuel management system on certain vehicles. The active fuel management system, also known as cylinder deactivation, is a technology that allows an engine to switch between using all of its cylinders and using only some of its cylinders, depending on the driving conditions. This can help to improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions. An AFM disabler is a device that is installed in a vehicle to prevent the active fuel management system from functioning, allowing the engine to run in full cylinder mode all the time. Some people use AFM disablers to improve performance or to prevent problems with the AFM system. However, disabling the AFM system can also reduce fuel efficiency and may void the vehicle's warranty.
