315/70R20 tires for lifted trucks that mean business.

Every 315/70R20 we carry ships free. Compare the tread styles below and pick the one that fits how you drive.

A 315/70R20 stands about 37.4 inches tall and 12.4 inches wide, which puts it in the 37 inch class. It is a step up from the 35s most trucks run on 20s, and it gives you more ground clearance, a bigger footprint off road and a lot more presence. These are heavy duty light truck tires with load indexes of 126 to 128, so they are built to carry real weight and handle towing, not just fill the wheel well.

Which 315/70R20 is right for your truck?

Nitto Ridge Grappler 315/70R20

The Ridge Grappler is Nitto's hybrid tread, somewhere between an all-terrain and a mud-terrain. The variable pitch pattern keeps it civil on the highway, and the open shoulders still bite in dirt, gravel and light mud. It is the right call for a lifted daily driver that sees trails on the weekends.

Nitto Trail Grappler M/T 315/70R20

The Trail Grappler is a full mud-terrain with big shoulder lugs and deep voids for traction in mud and rock. Nitto engineered it to run quieter than a traditional mud tire, so it does not punish you on the drive to the trail. This size carries a 128 load index, rated to 3,968 lb per tire. Pick it if your truck spends real time off pavement.

315/70R20 fitment notes

Lift is usually required. On most 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks, a 37 inch class tire needs at least a leveling kit plus some trimming, and a 2 to 3 inch lift makes life easier. Half ton trucks typically need a 4 to 6 inch lift.

Wheel offset matters. Run a 20x9 or 20x10 with the right backspacing and you will fight less rubbing at full lock.

Gearing and speedometer. Going from a stock 275/65R20 to a 315/70R20 adds about 3 inches of height, so expect your speedometer to read low until it is recalibrated. If you tow heavy, consider re-gearing.
