It is a popular size on 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks like the Ram 2500, F-250 and Silverado 2500HD, and on half tons running a leveling kit or a mild lift. Every tire on this page is a load range E light truck tire, so it is built to handle towing and a loaded bed, not just the look.

Nitto Ridge Grappler 295/70R20
The Ridge Grappler is a hybrid tread that sits between an all-terrain and a mud-terrain. It has enough void to clean out on dirt and gravel, and a variable pitch pattern that keeps road noise down on the highway. It is the best fit for a truck that is daily driven but sees trails on the weekend.

Stock 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks on 20s usually fit a 295/70R20 with little or no trimming. Check your lower air dam and clearance at full steering lock before you hit the trail.
Half ton trucks typically need at least a leveling kit, and wheel offset plays a big part in whether you rub.
Speedometer: if you are stepping up from a factory 275/65R20, expect your speedometer to read a little low until it is recalibrated.
