Lunati 10120704LK Voodoo Cam and Lifter Kit SBC - .504/.525

The Lunati Voodoo 10120704LK is a hydraulic flat tappet camshaft and lifter kit for the small block Chevy. With .504 intake and .525 exhaust lift on a 110 degree lobe separation, it gives a street small block a strong midrange pull, a top end that keeps going to 6,400 RPM, and the choppy idle most people are after.

Lunati designs the Voodoo lobes to open the valves quickly without beating up the valvetrain, so you get more area under the curve than a traditional profile with similar duration. Its operating range of 2,200 to 6,400 RPM makes it a good match for a mildly built 350 or 383 with good heads, a performance intake, and a converter and rear gear to match. The kit includes a matched set of hydraulic flat tappet lifters.

Like any flat tappet cam, it needs a proper break-in: lube the lobes and lifter faces with assembly lube, run a high zinc break-in oil, and hold the engine at 2,000 to 2,500 RPM for the first 20 minutes. Check valve spring pressure and retainer to guide clearance for this lift before you fire it.
